About The Author

Originally from New Orleans, LA, I was best known as an educator, computer entrepreneur, and for my community and political activities. I had written numerous articles on computers for business periodicals. After moving to the gulf coast of Mississippi, I began researching and writing about the numerous small cities there. Many of these books, I self-published. Having lost my home to Hurricane Katrina, I moved to Eureka Springs, AR where I again took up my quill to elaborate and publish stories about the Ozarks. While there, I also became a promoter of events, including a gala Mardi Gras season complete with parades and majestic costume balls which continue today. I even conducted my very own Jazz Funeral that was attended by hundreds.Dan Ellis has written and published more than three dozen books. Most of them are in the following book formats – Print, eBook, and Audible.
